About the Role
Responsibilities:
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
Monitor financial transactions and reports. Process accounts receivable and payable. Process checks.
Understand ledgers. Handle monthly payroll using accounting software.
Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data. Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities. Maintaining accurate financial records.
Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
Computing taxes.
Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in accounting or business administration.
Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
Knowledge of bookkeeping software.
At least two years bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Attention to detail and accuracy of work. Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
